Class Times
Classes do not run on public holidays or during school holidays. Enrolments will cover two school Semesters; Semester 1 (Terms 1 and 2) and Semester 2 (Terms 3 and 4).

Entry Policy
Swim school students can enter the facility up to 2 hours prior to their allocated lesson time and register their arrival. Students must register their attendance at every lesson. Late students will be unable to attend their lesson if they arrive 15 minutes or more after their scheduled start time. Note: Late students will forfeit any associated fees.

Payment of Fees
Direct debit is Aqua Energy’s primary method of payment for program enrolments and memberships. The direct debit is made on Thursdays, fortnightly from your nominated bank account. For failed direct debit transactions a $25 rejection fee will be charged and an alternative payment must be arranged. Up front Semester payments are accepted as cash, EFTPOS or credit card payments. Note: Aqua Energy may ask for payment from any responsible adult who is accompanying a swim student.

Cancellations
To cancel an enrolment a Swim School Variation Request Form must be lodged and will be processed from date of notification. Any fees owed prior to cancellation will remain due and payable. Direct debit cancellations made less than 3 days before the nominated direct debit date will require an additional direct debit payment. On occasions, lessons may need to be cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of Aqua Energy. Under these circumstances your child will be provided with a lesson credit; available for use during the following semester.

Teacher and Class Changes
Aqua Energy swim school reserves the right to cancel or change class times, teachers, or re-allocate students as required. The same teacher cannot be guaranteed for every semester, Aqua Energy staff will try to work with parents to accommodate the needs of swim school students. As part of our swim school program, students may be instructed by an Austswim teacher-in-training (supervised by an Austswim qualified teacher).

Supervision
For the safety of children and in accordance with Aqua Energy’s ‘Watch Around Water’ policy, children under 16 years must be supervised by a parent/guardian when swimming outside of their usual lesson time. Your child’s swim school teacher will ‘handover’ each child to their responsible adult at the beginning and conclusion of each lesson. Parents/guardians must always supervise children under 5 years old, outside of their allocated lesson time. Children under 5 years should always be within close proximity and clear view of their responsible adult, with no barriers in place. Children aged under 5 years old MUST remain within arm’s reach of a responsible adult at all times while enjoying the facilities at Aqua Energy.

Absenteeism Policies

  • A medical certificate along with a completed swim school variation request must be submitted to receive lesson credits for missed classes (no lesson credits can be issued otherwise).

  • Exceptional circumstances may be considered upon discussion with the Aquatics Program Team Supervisor.

  • Two hours cancellation notice is required prior to any 1:1 lessons, please call Aqua Energy on 5142 3700 to advise if a 1:1 cancellation is required (emails and voice mail messages are not acceptable).

Enrolment Process
All student enrolments will automatically roll over to the following semester, you are not required to submit a new enrolment form for each semester. Swim school students will keep their current lesson allocations unless notified by their teacher (this may require a date or time change). Re-enrolments that occur after a cancellation will require a new enrolment form to be submitted.
