Gippsland Art Gallery and Wellington Shire Council are expecting upwards of 40,000 people to visit the region between 8 October – 21 November 2021 for the Archibald Prize exhibition. In the lead up to and during the event, we will be promoting the wider Wellington region to locals and visitors.
Will you be open during the exhibition period? Will you trade with extended hours?
Your answers will help us plan to meet the demand and we’ll be able to include your information in The Middle of Everywhere tourism campaign and promotion.
We especially want to hear from our local hospitality businesses because this influx of visitors will want to experience our local hospitality. We need to ensure we have enough of our local food and beverage businesses operating during the 45 days to cater for the crowds of people attending the Archibald Prize.
